He’s Working On It
Has God made you a promise or given you a dream that is hard to wrap your mind around? You have no idea how He’s going to do it. So what do you do?
Don’t worry about it. He’s working on it
Isaiah 55: 8-11 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
We’ve always heard that God sized dreams require God sized prayers. What are God sized prayers anyway? Praying in agreement to His perfect will and purpose even when we can’t see it or comprehend it. Pray His will and seek His purpose no matter the cost. Stay grounded on His path no matter what comes your way and believe His word and stand on it. Again, always come in agreement with Gods desire for your life. I know that’s not always easy but surrender your will to the Father and take on His will and purpose you.
Whatever God promises, He has every intention of fulfilling it. Trust Him…He’s working on it. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promises as men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us…
I’ve been on this road of trusting He’s working on it a few times. He’s always come through. ALWAYS! One thing I know for a fact; He will never abort His promises but I’ve also discovered with every promise, a new level of obedience, trust and faith is required. It takes trust, faith and obedience to walk into His promises so don’t get stuck on the same level you were on when you got your last breakthrough. There are things I’m still waiting on and to be honest, there are times my flesh gets the best of me.
I know He spoke and I received it with joy and gladness and started watering and nurturing the promise. Then, this thing we call waiting and trials walks through the door and the game changes. Faith is tested and so is my patience. Can I hang in there? Can you hang in there? Can I be honest? There are times I feel I can’t hold on and I want out. There are times when warfare is way too heavy and I’m tired of fighting and don’t really feel like praising my way out. There are times I want to have a full blown fit; kick and scream and ask God why me? My friends, I’ve indulged in it, become a brat and had a really good melt down. You know what I’m talking about! You’ve done it too. It’s called being human although you and I know we can manage ourselves better but…
The funny part is how God has reacted…He has sat and waited and when I’d worn myself out, He asked, “Are you done?” We always have a good chuckle and move on. He’s a wonderful Father. He understand we won’t always get it right so don’t beat yourself up, pick yourself up and move on. He does!
Our Heavenly Father is faithful! Numbers 23:19 God is not man that He should lie or a son of man that He should change His mind. He has said and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not fulfill it?
He doesn’t make empty promises. He doesn’t change His mind or go back on His word. Sometimes, when we think we should have seen something manifest in the natural and according to our calculations the time has come and gone, we walk away hence abort the promise. We think we either heard wrong or God has failed us. Lets keep it real. We’ve all fallen into that pit a few times.
There are things that get fulfilled in the spirit and we have to wait for His perfect timing for them to manifest in the natural. We pray – Your kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Did you catch that? As it is in Heaven! So it already is in heaven, we are just waiting for the manifestation of the promise on earth. We have this enemy who loves to deceive and he comes to steal, kill and to destroy. If he can get you to abort the promise, trust me my friend, he’s on it. The devil always has a plan. So what do we do to avoid falling into the pitfalls dug by the father of lies? Trust and obey. Have faith in God even when everything around you seems to be falling apart.
God promises are legit. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are yes and in Him amen, to the glory of God through us. Trust Him…He’s working on it.
I’m so thankful for the bible. All the stories we read about the Israelites and how God always came to their rescue. That my friend is a good place to plant your faith. Stay in the word especially anything that has to do with Gods faithfulness. Reread those stories to encourage yourself and to keep from slipping off the faith ladder. We’ve gotta keep climbing. We can do it together by praying for and encouraging one another; that Abba’s plans, purposes and promises for us will come to pass and that we will see His faithfulness. And when you feel like you’ve missed it, start thanking Him for His perfect timing, for His faithfulness, for caring about what concerns you. He is a Father, and He’s really good at being the best Daddy to us. Hold on my friends, ride the tide if you have to but don’t step out of His covering because HE’S WORKING ON IT. I’ll be praying for you.
Love and Blessings!
